Uncountable Noun को हिंदी में ‘अगणनीय संज्ञा’ कहते है| वैसे आप इस नाउन इसके नाम से पहचान सकते हैं| Uncountable जिसका अर्थ होता है, ‘जिसको गिना ना जा सके’|
Uncountable Noun क्या है?
परिभाषा: वे संज्ञाएँ जिन्हें गिना नहीं जा सकता हैं, लेकिन संख्या में दर्शाया जा सकता है, उसे अन-काउंटेबल नाउन कहते है| जैसे पानी एक Uncountable Noun है, क्योंकि इसे आप गिन नहीं सकते है| लेकिन इसे 1 लीटर या 10 लीटर जैसे संख्या में दर्शाया जा सकता हैं|
What is Uncountable Noun?
Definition: Nouns that cannot be counted but can be represented in numbers are called uncountable nouns.
Example: Water, Rise, Gold, honesty etc.
Note: The above Un-countable Noun’s can present their countable form by adding any unit before them and in this state they can be kept in singular or plural form according to the situation.

[1.] “Bread” being uncountable Noun it is singular and gets singular verb. – “ब्रेड” अगणनीय संज्ञा होने के कारण एकवचन है तथा एकवचन क्रिया बनती है।
Example: Bread is essential for life. – रोटी जीवन के लिए आवश्यक है।
Fact (1): It is made countable, adding “A loaf of / A piece of” before it. – इसके पहले “एक रोटी / एक टुकड़ा” जोड़कर इसे गणनीय बनाया जाता है।
Fact (2): In countable form ‘it’ can be used. – गणनीय रूप में ‘it’ का प्रयोग किया जा सकता है।
Fact (3): “Bread” Can not be changing to breads. – ब्रेड को ब्रेअड्स में नहीं बदला जा सकता।
Example: He is eating one bread. (x) / He is eating a piece of bread. (✓) / He is eating five pieces of breads. (x) / He is eating five pieces of bread. (✓)
[2.] “Advice” being uncountable it is singular and get’s singular verb. – “सलाह” अगणनीय होने के कारण एकवचन है और एकवचन क्रिया है।
Example: Your advice was good for me.
Fact (1): It is made countable adding ‘A piece of’ before it. – इसके पहले ‘A piece of’ जोड़कर इसे गणनीय बनाया जाता है।
Fact (2): In countable from ‘it’ can be singular and plural according to it’s uses. – ‘It’ अपने उपयोग के अनुसार एकवचन और बहुवचन हो सकता है।
Fact (3): In this condition “advise” can not be changing to advices.
Example: He has given one good advice. (x) / He has given me a piece of good advice. (✓) / He has given me five pieces of good advices. (x) / He has given me five pieces of good advice. (✓)
Note: ध्यान रहे कि कोई Instruction (निर्देश) को दर्शाने हेतु Advices का प्रयोग होता है|
